She assimilates her photograph into a realistic fiber art for home and businesses using bright\, clear hues and thread/bead embellishments to add texture and depth to her masterpieces. \nThis is a free art exhibit and open to the public. \n

SUMMARY:Heels to Hammers Build by Garland County Habitat for Humanity
DESCRIPTION:The Garland County Habitat for Humanity will be launching its fourth annual women-building event called Heels to Hammers. Participants willing to take part in the event can choose the day in which they want to participate and will have the opportunity to create two new homes for two deserving families at the intersections of Garland and School streets. From the swinging of a hammer to painting a room\, the event will be able to participate in the building of a home for deserving families\, as well as feeling a sense of camaraderie while helping out with other women. But men are welcome\, too. \nParticipants will receive a T-shirt\, nail apron\, safety goggles\, construction pencil\, and work gloves. Coffee and lunch will be provided. \nCost: $25 per day Registration fee \n
