SUMMARY:31st Annual World Championship Quartz Crystal Dig
DESCRIPTION:Every second weekend of October\, rockhounds young and old are invited to compete in the Quartz\, Quiltz\, & Craftz Festival at Mound Ida. The competition is open to miners of all age (adults and young miners aged 17 and below) and may choose to dig at two participating mines\, namely the Twin Creek Crystal Mine and Sweet Surrender Crystal Mine. The best part is they get to keep everything they find and can submit their best point and cluster each day to compete for crystal-adorned plaques and a $2100 cash prize. Gem and mineral clubs can also compete against rival clubs and see who the best club is. Awards will be given at the banquet on Saturday evening at 6:00 PM. \nCost:                $100.00 \n
