Tiny Town

Tiny Town is one of the things you shouldn’t miss when you visit Hot Springs, Arkansas. It features miniature versions of various structures across 22 states and timelines. Admire the handiwork of every single hand-crafted piece made from recycled materials. You will find bottle caps, discarded puzzle pieces, popsicle sticks, tin cans, pieces of wire, and sawdust turned into benches, houses, wheelbarrows, and trees. As an interactive display, a model train can be operated to pass through Niagara Falls, Mt. Rushmore, and the Colorado Rockies. Visit and be in awe of the magnificent craftsmanship that went into the creation of this beautiful, tiny town. And it still continues to be a work in progress, so more displays are coming.

The Galaxy Connection

The Galaxy Connection is truly a one-of-a-kind museum that features the owner’s personal collection of Star Wars and superhero toys, props, and life size characters, with an added bonus of tying his personal story with the collection. Guests are encouraged to interact with the various displays that also include a dress-up area for guests who want to dress like their favorite superhero or Star Wars character. The Galaxy Connection offers a vast collection of memorabilia that will leave the spectator in awe, geeks and casual fans alike. Be sure to check out the gift shop to see more collectibles, toys, clothing, and miscellaneous items of your favorite Star Wars character or superhero. National Park Aquarium

At the National Park Aquarium, you will find the largest exhibit of aquatic life in Arkansas, from the most elegant to the most bizarre. The aquarium features various species of freshwater and saltwater fish, salamanders, frogs, lizards, turtles, tortoises, and various aquatic invertebrates. With over 60 exhibits of over 80 species of aquatic creatures with fascinating behaviors, the National Park Aquarium is sure to be a hit for the entire family. A weekend with the girls can be the best weekend when spent at America’s First Resort. The Spa City can certainly provide a fun and affordable getaway for girls’ weekend.

Start your day a stroll along the Garvan Woodland Gardens and take wonderful pictures of the beautiful scenery. Follow it up with a relaxing spa on Bathhouse Row. Complete the experience with a relaxing mineral bath, massages, and manicures and pedicures.

If you happen to make plans for the first or third Friday of the month, be sure to attend the Gallery Walk on the first Friday for the opening of exhibits hosted by local, national, and international artists, or the Antique/Boutique Walk every third Friday for some shopping and live entertainment. Most shops will stay open until late in the evening to offer you some of the best hors d’oeuvres and complimentary drinks as you shop and enjoy the moment with your girls.
