This historic bathhouse is now open and will be utilized as a venue for park events and programs, including community programs co-sponsored with other civic groups, and also as a venue for (at fee) private events. Operating hours for the cultural center are from noon to 5pm Fridays through Sundays with free admission, and it is available daily after 5pm for special events. History of the Ozark: Designed by architects Mann and Stern of Little Rock, the bathhouse was completed in the summer of 1922, just a few months after the Quapaw opened for business. Built at a cost of $93,000 in the Spanish Colonial Revival style, the building is set between low towers whose receding windows suggest the nascent Art Deco movement. Like the Quapaw, the Ozark was more impressive in its exterior facade than in its interior appointments, with only 14,000 square feet and twenty-seven tubs. It catered to a middle economic class of bathers unwilling to pay for frills. The Ozark closed in 1977. It re-opened May 2, 2014 as the Ozark Cultural Center. –Information from http://www.nps.gov/hosp/historyculture/ozark-bathhouse.htm

In 1996, a group of entrepreneurs and restaurateurs put together their combined total of over sixty years of successful restaurant and real estate experience to develop a concept that later became Colton’s® Steak House & Grill.
