National Park Aquarium

At the National Park Aquarium, you will find the largest exhibit of aquatic life in Arkansas, from the most elegant to the most bizarre. The aquarium features various species of freshwater and saltwater fish, salamanders, frogs, lizards, turtles, tortoises, and various aquatic invertebrates. With over 60 exhibits of over 80 species of aquatic creatures with fascinating behaviors, the National Park Aquarium is sure to be a hit for the entire family. It also features a unique gift shop that offer several fishing, hunting, and nature items.

Hot Springs Mountain Tower

The Hot Springs Mountain Tower is one of the best places to visit in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Enjoy a panoramic view of the city of Hot Springs, the Diamond Lakes, Hot Springs National Park, and the Ouachita Mountains atop the observation deck of this 216-foot high tower as it stands at 1,256 feet above sea level. Now that’s a bird’s eye view. Arkansas Alligator Farm & Petting Zoo

The Arkansas Alligator Farm and Petting Zoo is the Hot Springs’ oldest attraction, which dates back to 1902 when it was founded. It features over 200 alligators, cougars, turtles, bobcats, wolves, mountain lions, monkeys, ring-tailed lemurs, turkeys, and chickens. The farm also features a petting zoo where you can feel like a kid again and pet goats, emus, llamas, white-tailed deer, pigs, baby alligators, and other animals. Witness a live alligator feeding shows every Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. Or feed a baby alligator yourself using meat on a stick. Whatever it is you choose, there is always something fun for the family. Admission:          Adults – $9 Children – $7 (12 & under)

The city of Hot Springs, Arkansas features several attractions for a mix of adventure and fun in the heart of the city.

Enjoy a breathtaking view of the Ouchita Mountain scenery above the Hot Springs Mountain Tower, soaring 1,200 feet above the city.

For high-stakes action, see a race at the Oaklawn Racing and Gaming arena live from January to April. They also offer a simulcast of live events year-round inside the casino where you can witness some of the best in craps, blackjack, and poker.

For some family bonding, take your family to The National Park Aquarium, home to the state’s largest fish and reptile exhibit. But for a more up close look of reptiles and other animals, visit the Arkansas Alligator Farm and Petting Zoo.

You can also take the family to experience nature at Garvan Woodland Gardens on Lake Hamilton or the National Park Duck Tours.

Lake Catherine State Park – offers guided hikes and boat tours around the lake. They also offer cabins, campsites, playgrounds, picnic areas, as well as other activities to enjoy the beauty of Lake Catherine.

Lake Ouachita State Park – offers cabins and campsites on the eastern shore of Lake Ouachita, as well as hiking and biking trails, picnic areas, boat rentals, and others. The 36-mile Lake Ouachita Vista Trail is a popular destination among hikers and mountain bikers.

Womble Trail – located near Mount Ida, this 38-mile long trail is recognized by the International Mountain Biking Association as an epic ride.

Hot Springs, Arkansas is home to many golf courses, as well as two championship golf courses, both located at the Hot Springs Country Club. Both are listed on The Natural State Golf Trail.
